Frequently Asked Questions
1. What should I do if my child is struggling with homework?
We do not want our students to get to the point of frustration when it comes to school work. If your child is struggling with homework, and has been working for over 45 minutes, please stop him or her. Write us a note and let us know what is going on. We will be happy to go over the homework with your child, and he or she will NOT be penalized for missing homework. Full credit will be given.
2. What kinds of books should my child be reading at home?
It is our belief that any reading is good reading. We want our students to enjoy reading, therefore they can choose anything to read that they like. We will be challenging them in the classroom with books on their personal reading level, at home they can simply read for fun. Magazines, newspapers, comic books, and chapter books are all perfectly acceptable for at home reading.
3. Do I really need to sign my child's agenda book?
The agenda book is a great way to stay informed about what assignments are coming up in our class. We also use the agenda to communicate with you about things that are happening with your child in school. We would very much like to see all parents.guardians sign the agendas.
